Selena Gomez’s famous song “Same Old Love” was nearly Rihanna’s—and sound unveiled today features what the melody would’ve seemed as though had RiRi taken it for her collection. The demo surfaced on YouTube this evening, and PopCrave included the sound on its site.
Selena Gomez’s Same Old Love
Selena Gomez’s “Same Old Love” wasn’t forever her tune. Before Gomez released the song in 2015, Rihanna prodded on Twitter (path in 2014) that she was in the runnings for the track — and now, there’s evidence. As per Elle, PopCrave released the tune on YouTube, and fans are succumbing to her version of the song.
The fantasy group of Mikkel Storleer Eriksen, Benny Blanco, Ross Golan, Charli XCX, and Tor Erik Hermansen stated, “Same Old Love.” Back in 2016, Charli disclosed to Genius that Rihanna had recorded it, yet it didn’t fit in the mind-set and bearing of her collection.
Rihanna Wanted To Sing it
I think at one point, Rihanna was going to sing it or something, yet then I think the heading of her record changed, and it wasn’t directly for her any longer (hostile to is one of my fav collections of the year btw kill).
At that point, I think Selena heard it and was into it, and she sang it, and it simply fit her voice and her story so well. The tune felt so passionate and genuine, originating from her. I was extremely upbeat she cut it; it felt exceptionally incredible.”
The course of events places the music in Ri’s Anti period (2016), so fans can envision it nearby tunes like “Work” and “Love on the Brain.” Gomez released it on Revival, an album numerous fans partner with her hit or miss, relationship with Justin Bieber.
